My First SocialSpark payout=)

I'm just so happy that finally I have received my very first SocialSpark payout. Hope I can get more opps for 2009.

Here's a snapshot I took from Paypal account just awhile ago.

After withdrawing some fund from my Paypal account to my verified debit card and literally waiting for a month, I finally saw some bucks from my blog. Notice below that my Paypal activity started around July. That's when I started blogging for real. I withdrew the money when it reached almost $30 but unfortunately the $30 only resulted to Php700+.

Anyway, I really won't recommend you to withdraw your money on your paypal account nowadays specially if you want to receive it within a week or two.

But I'm still happy cause I received the money so I treated my family at Pizza Hut!

My Page Rank went up again!

I got really frustrated last week when I found out that my page rank went down by one notch. And since I know for a fact that most advertisers choose blogs with at least a PR 3, I knew then that my blog was in big trouble and that I had to work double time to win back my PR.

Well I was right in thinking that I won't be getting that much invite or approval from advertisers for a week. BUT...! I was wrong in thinking that it'll take me a couple of weeks or months to gain back that lost point cause the lucky me just found out awhile ago that my PR got back to 3. Whew!

I don't know why I lost that PR point in the first place cause I've been creating more posts and been visiting more blogs lately. But I'm not really sure how that PR 3 came back. What I just did was fix my feed burner and activated most of the services they have. So go try it out guys! It might help you increase your PRs too!

Another extra income for paid bloggers like me=)

Keys to Successfully getting high Page Ranks!

I'm not really an expert here. I was actually shocked when I found out about my RealRank and Alexa score=)

As a continuation of my earlier post related to this, here are a few more tips to help you pull up your blog ranks fast:

1. My first tip is for Google PageRank: Since they are focused into backlinks which means getting you site clicked from somewhere else, exchange links with other bloggers. My special note, choose bloggers who you deem have high PRs already. I've read from one news letter that getting your site clicked from high PR sites adds more value to your site.

2. Here's my second tip for Google PageRank: Add your site to Search Engine Optimizers (SEOs). With this, the titles of the posts you create easily gets extracted by Google.

3. My third tip (again) for Google PageRank: Link back to yourself! If you are creating post that is a continuation or related to one of your older post, find a way to add a link to it. Aside from helping your blog readers, you are also helping yourself since clicking this added link creates another hit to your site.

4. My fourth (but hopefully not the last ) tip for Google PageRank, visit and edit your old post and add some more details into it. This adds more value to your posts and Google gets to notice them once again.

5. For Izea's RealRanks, you need to get an ITK (Izea Tool Kit) installed on your blog before the data collection starts. You can get this from SocialSpark. From what I understand, aside from getting the number of page views per day, ITK also tracks the number of unique IP addresses visiting your blog. So if you want to get a high rank, my advice is you join sites such as LinkReferral, BlogCatalog, or BlogRush. Also, enjoy checking out other blogs and leave simple notes on their shout box or comment on their posts. Most often than not, they too will add to your list of new viewers (and hopefully new blog buddies)

6. Although my Technocrati Ranking is high, i'm not pretty familiar as to how it works. But as per sis anna, tags do help increase your Technocrati ranking. And since tag will leave a piece of your link to other blogs (backlinks) which again is related to Google PR, tag all your friends! =)

5 Lastly, make your posts unique and try to talk about new things. My IT niche blog can attest to this. Oracle Hyperion is a new buzz in the Business Intelligence and Oracle market. And since my discussion is now mostly related to this category, this blog is getting tons of visitors mostly from US even without my effort. If you try to search topics such as "Hyperion Planning Overview", my blog will always be added on the first page of Google's searchable links!

What are Page Ranks and how are they calculated?

Page Rank is one of the most important factor that can help your blog/s earn big. And since most visitors, including your would be advertisers/sponsors, normally just spend a few seconds to a minute on your blog, it would be best to show off your blog's page rank/s at the upper portion of your page. Thru this ranking system, your visitor would be able to instantly know that your blog is either:

1. Getting visitors from difference locations.
2. Getting a lot of traffic due to the number of visits.
3. May have good quality posts that drives the visitors to come in and check out your blog.

In no particular order, these are the three well known ranking system in the blogospher right now:
1. Google PageRanks,
2. RealRanks by Izea, and
3. Alexa Ranks

How Google PageRank is Computed

Google PageRank is computed based on the combination of an unpublished ranking algorithm (which rates the quality of your site based on the number of other sites linking to it, what we call the backlinks) and some manual overrides to that algorithm's result. Google PageRank is not based on real traffic, but on link rating algorithm and some cloudy rules.

How Izea's RealRank is Computed

RealRanks is created by Izea, the same company behind PayPerPost and SocialSpark.
This ranking system focuses exclusively on measuring the traffic and influence of individual blogs throughout the blogosphere. The traffic is measured using the IZEA Toolkit (ITK) by collecting data from a piece of code bloggers embed on their blog site. RealRank scoring is divided into the following categories:

1. 70% daily unique visitors,
2. 20% daily active inbound links, and
3. 10% daily page views as reported by ITK.

One of the things i like about RealRanks is that it can also show you a graphical report of your daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly pageviews and visits!

How is Alexa Rank Computed

Alexa Rank uses Alexa toolbar to check on users' browsing activity to extrapolate a guess as to a site's actual traffic, and what percentage of the Internet users are likely to visit it.

If you're using Firefox as your browser, just add the Alexa Firefox Add-on to easily view your blog's Alexa traffic history.

Among the three, RealRank claims to be the most accurate ranking system because it is based on real traffic. I also do think so=)

Withdrawing your Money from Paypal

On my previous post about Making Money Online , I mentioned that if you do not have and/or do not wish to have a credit card {like me=)} ,you need to apply for a debit card at Union Bank to be able to withdraw your hard earned money at PayPal. I just did my application a couple of weeks ago and am happy that I already got my EON card!

If you already got yours, don't forget to enroll your card at Union Bank so that you can also do other transactions online. Once you enroll online, you will have to wait for two working days before you can log-in at Union Bank's EON website.

By the way, if you're having trouble validating your EON debit card at PayPal, it might be caused by a zero balance in your EON debit card. So don't forget to deposit at least P150.00 pesos into your account. The reason why you need to do this is because Paypal needs to charge an amount to the credit/debit card which you wish to enroll for pre-proccesing fee. This amount will be returned back to you once your enrolled card has been validated.

First steps to Make Money Online

Having internet connection at home nowadays is not a luxury. With the growing number of ways to earn money online, a lot of full time working moms like me are starting to use the internet to help them increase their income. And the good thing is, most of them are successful!

Here are some steps that we need to do and know to earn and be successful in this new venture:
1. Create your Paypal account! This is where you'll see your money roll in. If you're not sure on how that is done, simply click on this link and sign-up.:)

2. If you're in the Philippines and you do not have a

credit card/debit card, go to the nearest Unionbank and apply for your EON card. The EON or Electronic OnliNe card is a Visa Electron debit card which you can use to withdaw your earnings which have been credited to your Paypal account. The bank will only require you to submit a filled-up form and two photocopies of two valid identification cards. The ids they allow are only those which has your picture and signature on it.

3. Start creating your own blog and make sure to add meaningfull posts a few times a week.

4. There are different ways for you to earn money online. Some pay you for creating sponored advertisements. Some pay you for advertising. Some pay you for clicking on other sites. Some pay you for reading advertiser's emails. Some pay you for referring them to others.. Some pay you for just joining conversations. My advice is: make sure that those you have found are not scams. One of my criteria for a non-scammer is that they don't require you to pay them to start earning.
