My new found hobby..

Taking pictures! I've enjoyed doing this for quite some time now but never really had the chance to buy a good camera. Anyhow, now that I have a digital camera along with me, i'll try to show you how I see things my way.=)

Take a peek at my new pHoto bLog!

Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookies anyone?

I baked these chunky chocolate chip cookies for my texas poker addict sweetie last night!=)
He normally plays till about 2am to 3am! Anyway, so i though maybe my all time favorite cookie recipe will make him enjoy his game and win back his lost 4M pokey money.=)) lol Good thing it's only an internet virtual game!

Here's a shot of my cookies inside the oven. Yeah.. you might have noticed that I'm not using cookie sheets. That's another item on my list that I intend to buy soon. Oh well, at least this brownie baking pans work! =)

Most of the recipes I use come from the Pillsbury baking cookbook that my mom bought me when I was still in highschool. I must say that all the recipes I've tried so far are all perfect! I'm really happy that I'm now baking for my hubby and kids=P

My Vanilla Choco Chip Cupcakes with White Chocolate Buttercream Icing!

I wanted to try my new cupcake liners and the other baking equipments I got from Wilton's and Ateco last Saturday so I decided to bake these yummy cupcakes for my girls.

For the lavender white chocolate icing, I simply mixed my sky blue and burgundy wine gel food coloring from Chef Master. So glad I got the color I wanted because this lavender and pink (using a touch of burgundy wine) one will be Missy's cupcake icing colors for her coming birthday celebration on Aug 9.

I used ChefMaster's leaf green color and one of Ateco's leaf icing tip for the leaves i decorated on top of the cake. Also, I added edible silver beads to enhance the look. It really looks like a nice wedding cupcake..=)

Here's another close up shot of my cupcakes resting on top of my new cake turntable from Wilton's.

Ever heard of Dec 21, 2012?

After watching Nostradamus 2012 the other week, this date already got marked on my brain.

The documentary I've watched talks about 2012 as the last year on the Mayan calendar. Also says that the last found book of Nostradamus points to this date as either the end of the world or the beginning of chaos. I don't know if this is true but they say that the illustrations made by Norstradamus, the Mayan's, and the Egyptians were all coincidentally pointing to our Sun as probably the major cause of the earth's extinction. Those historian or interpreters(I don't know how to call them) say that it may have something to do with the galactic alignment.

One of the concepts worth considering (for me) that they are pointing out is their belief that the Pyramid of Giza in Egypt was not solely conceptualized and made by humans. They are particularly mentioning other celestial bodies from outer space that may have had contact with the Egyptians. They say these celestial bodies may have probably come from the Orion galaxy because its three big stars coincidentally looks very similar to how the three pyramids were placed together.

Another strange fact that was mentioned was that there is a face looking figure in planet Mars (they call it face on Mars)! And just a few distance away are pyramid looking figures which are all again coincidentally similar to the Pyramid of Giza (with the three pyramids and the Great Sphinx as the face).

Hey, I'm not saying its real guys. Just want to share these weird, strange, and out of this world insights I've watched and heard from that dvd. Happy weekend!=P

For those who have Samsum EC-S760 digital camera

I got this Samsum EC-S760 digital camera through a Globe Post Paid Plan. I was extremely excited at first because it already has a resolution of 7.2 megapixels! Unfortunately, it got broke on our last day at Singapore..broke for an mysterious reason I say because it was totally working well the entire time before it happened.

Anyway, last week I went to Samsung's Service Center to have it fixed(lucky I was able to keep the receipt so I had it fixed for FREE!). The lady there told me that using alkaline batteries made that Samsung digital camera's ribbon inside (whatever that is) break or loosen up. They informed me to instead use a rechargeable battery with at least 2300 amperes. I never knew rechargeable batteries had different specifications. But most of the sales ladies/men I asked said that the more amperes your battery has, the longer your digital camera will work.

I'll be getting my digital camera tomorrow (yipee!) . Hope this new battery charger and rechargeable batteries I bought won't destroy my cam this time.

By the way, Samsum's Service Center is located at Bonaventure Bldg Greenhills San Juan (just across Greenhill's Shopesville). Their contact numbers are 3834773, 3834768, 3922665, and 3923082. =)

Our Singapore Trip

I am soooo happy that I was able to experience my first plane ride and trip abroad with my hubby! Our first plane ride was a total adventure!! We traveled on a stormy and rainy weather so i guess for other plane riders you could just imagine how adventurous that was.. Rising above land was a thrill but passing through those stormy clouds was like ridding a roller coaster. It actually made me panic for a few seconds. Thank God and my hubby for making me feel safe and secured.

It was such a breath taking experience. We both enjoyed Singapore. Everything was sooooo in order! It's sooo clean and people are very disciplined! How I wish the Philippines could be a bit like this place..but I know this will never happen. Not in a million years! lol Oh well, im not gonna use this post to talk about why I feel this way about our country but for those who are there or have been there, im sure you can easily agree with me.

I thank God that I have some relatives in Singapore who toured us around some parts of the city.
here's me, hubby, and my cousin kuya alex

in this pictue is hubby, me and uncle james. we had this milk tea with ice cream top. yum! yum!

We stayed at Marina Mandarin Hotel, just a few mall walks away from Suntec Tower Four where I had my training. You will literally walk through malls to get to Suntec Tower Four! lol

Here's a shot with my cousin and uncle in our hotel room.

this is me in our room..(trying to pretend lang na may ginagawa.hahaha)

hubby's turn! wala lang talaga kaming magawa. lol=)

this is what we see when we open our bed room's sliding window door. It is still a part of the hotel. I believe that's the gym area and on the right side, you'll find the hotel's swimming pool area.

This well known Esplanade mall is also clearly seen from our hotel room. We were able to drop by this area on our last night of stay. I was amazed that there are still mall stores even from basement 2!

Since we were trying to stay on our budget, we had most of our lunch and dinner at the Fountain Food Center located at Suntec's basement or at the Food Republic located at Suntec Tower 1. Not sure if those were considered hawker centers but the foods were so awesome!By the way, that's another thing I enjoyed there (eating!). I noticed that most of their meals (if not all) are healthy foods. I said so because there's always vegetable and white meat (my favorite!) .
Here's what I ordered as Suntec's food court. It's healthy and I just so love the tofu! It's sweet and soft.. and fresh..

Here are some more pictures we took on our last day=)
