My new found hobby..

Taking pictures! I've enjoyed doing this for quite some time now but never really had the chance to buy a good camera. Anyhow, now that I have a digital camera along with me, i'll try to show you how I see things my way.=)

Take a peek at my new pHoto bLog!

My Birthday celebration and our 3rd year wedding anniversary

Our celebration this year was held at Alivaii Resort and Restaurant. It's at a newly established resort at Calasiao Pangasinan. Cost is very reasonable(just a hundred pesos per head:-) ) And since its not that big, the owner limits it to only a few.

I only have some pictures though because most of the shots were taken by my brother on his cam. Unfortunately, his cam's MMC got corrupted..darn. So these are the only memories of what we had that warm and shiny day.

Everyone enjoyed the day eating and swimming. My two girls always wanted to go to the water. CJ was very brave and never got scared even when we were trying to teach her to float. Missy on the other hand just wanted to either sit on the stairs inside the pool,or just want to be carried on our back.

We just bought all the foods we ate that day. I specially enjoyed the pancit we got from Bangsal. It's full of flavor and vegetables! I also loved Monterey's spicy chicken barbecue wings:D Yum!yum! Till my next birthday and wedding anniversary. Love you dad!

My Cupcakes, mini cupcakes, and mini cakes!

My Chocolate Heaven is now introducing cakes on its line of products! Especially baked by me of course=)

Just a small background on this hobby.. My passion for pastries and desserts actually started a long time ago. I start baking when I was on my third grade. My mom used to work for an international christian company (Campus Crusade for Christ in Baguio City). Composed of mostly American bosses (some or one Indian I think), receiving baked goodies on holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and specially Christmas has already become a tradition for their employees. And since they always have a year to end garage sale, selling baking equipments and recipes are always a part of it. When my mom decided to buy some baking equipments and recipe books, I and my dad started to try out baking and from then on, my mom always complained about my baking schedule because i do it almost every weekend as a snack for the family. Trying all the yummy goodies like cakes, brownies, and cookies.. she definitely had to set a budget for me! Lol.

Since then, our birthday cakes were homemade by me.=) But that stopped when I married. My mom doesn't want to give up here baking stuff yet daw. hehehe.. Oh well, I was also focus on my family and my profession. And I still do baking occasionally naman so that didn't bother me at all.. Not until I started my chocolate dessert business and some clients are already asking if I could also do cakes for them. And so I though, why not go back to the hobby that I and my family enjoyed;) It also by the way won my hubby's and his family's heart and stomach anyways! lol

So there you go.. Now I'm back to my 1st loved hobby! And to showcase my baked goodies, I baked some cupcakes in three different flavors (chocolate mint, vanilla chocolate chip, and strawberries and cream) and a two-tiered mini cake(in moist chocolate chiffon) as a gift for my elder brother, his wife, and their soon to be baby during the baby shower I hosted last April 11.

Here are some pictures of what I made.

Teddy Bear, A-B-C, and 1-2-3 Themed 1st Birthday at Eymard Dr, QC

I would say this is one of the best theme you could have for a first birthday. The colors, designs, favors, etc that you could use for this kind of theme is soooo baby..! Ms. Gina, our client and the mom of Sofia (the birthday girl), made all the conceptualization by herself. I was impressed with her prizes and favors too! They were all totally cute and unique.

This is a Gold package with Dark Sweet chocolate as the chocolate fondue. Their selection of non-fruit dippings were Chocolate Wafer Sticks (In brown and pink), Vanilla Wafer, Marshmallow, and Broas. Their fruit dippings were pineapple and watermelon.

Here are some pictures I took that day..

We also brought our two teddy bears to help carry the framed chocolate fondue flavor.=)

Disney Cars Themed 1st Birthday Party at West Greenhills Clubhouse

This has been the grandest 1st birthday event we've catered to so far. Our client, Ms. Dona, got our Diamond Package for her son's birthday last Saturday, April 4, 2009. It's a Red Colored Chocolate fondue paired together with a Milk Chocolate Fondue!

Her selection of non-fruit dippings included Chocolate Wafer Stick, Marshmallow, Vanilla Wafer, Bread Stick, Barquillos, Mini Donuts, Mini Cupcakes(in chocolate, mocha, cheese, and blueberry flavors). For the fruit dippings, they had melon, banana, strawberry, and kiwi.

Some pictures I took that day..

By the way, you might have noticed the new item on our setup. We're now adding a framed menu to note what chocolate fondue is on the chocolate fountain. We'll make it look more personalized for the next coming events!
